We love leather, precisely why The Leather Laundry came was conceived!

At TLL totally understand the kind of emotional sentiment people hold for their priced leather possessions! Reasons could be different!

Maybe the materialistic (you), hangs on to it for dear life, because it is expensive (laugh out loud!)

Or maybe the product is question is priceless to you, probably because it belongs to your grandparents!

Whatever may be the reason, as time passes, people do get immensely attached to their leather gear. And the TLL team understands that completely! You may not necessarily be using these products anymore, but you want to retain and preserve them nonetheless!

I personally adore my father’s old briefcase and would want to keep it with me for life! My granddad’s old hat is also my father’s prized possession!

Leather wears off over time! Besides discolouration and mildew problems, it also loses its sheen and moisture and becomes dry and cracked! What brings the leather back to life is maintaining the balance of natural oils in animal hide! Rehydration creams have to be applied to induce moisture! The leather is then recoloured, fixed for defects and softened!

So much for preserving a product but never using it? Absolutely! That is the depth and power of human emotions! Leather is also like a priced heirloom – be it a vintage handbag, a pair of hunter boots, an exotic animal skin or an old vintage leather trunk! It is handed down over several generations and is a symbol of power and prestige amongst most! The ones who inherit, want to maintain and preserve their leather gear well.
